What is Cardiovascular Risk, and how is it calculated?

Understanding absolute cardiovascular risk is vital in clinical decision making. Taking various risk factors into consideration and identifying those at increased cardiovascular risk can improve the health outcomes for your patients.

So how do you determine a patient’s cardiovascular risk? When do you decide to treat hypertension or commence statins? These questions are all answered by John Kelly in this month’s podcast.
